Why join the BLHA?

It is an honor to own, rent or lease property at Bass Lake and as a member you will have access to information and resources as well as exclusive opportunities to connect with other members in the spirit of friendship and community. We provide a united voice in community matters and communicate with local authorities where necessary to have that voice heard. When you join, that voice gets louder. We have a seat at several important tables where we would be honored to represent you.


Our Goals and Objectives:
  • Contribute to the enjoyment and safe use of Bass Lake, work with agencies to maintain the highest lake levels, and improve general lake conditions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government and other officials to further the interests of our community.
  • Represent and protect the interests and rights of property owners around Bass Lake.
  • Gather information and report back to our members in the form of newsletters and other communication on important issues.
  • Build community through the planning of social and fund-raising events.

 

Did You Know?

  • Membership is voluntary. We do not have CC&R’s, which means we will not place restrictions on you.
  • Membership is not limited to homeowners. Long-term renters and businesses can become members too.
  • We can easily send email communications to thousands of recipients with a push of a button. Could you have benefited from such communications during the storms of 2023? Or perhaps when changes were made to the trash pick-up schedule in the Pines Tract? If yes, please consider becoming a member.
  • Madera County is currently conducting a review of the short-term rental market. If this topic interests you, please join the BLHA to stay informed and to have a voice in shaping our community.
  • The BLHA is not a traditional ‘HOA.’ We are a volunteer-led community group whose main goal is to foster relationships and to build a stronger community.

2024 Highlights:

    • 397 members strong.
    • The office is staffed three days a week to address member needs.
    • Successful member-only events such as a Memorial Day Barbecue, a shredding event, a bake sale, and a litter clean-up.
    • Regular communications tackled issues such as increased bear activity, PG&E’s plans for the lake now and in the future, trash collection changes, lake levels and much more.
    • Annual All-Member Meeting with over 100 members in attendance, along with representatives from Madera County Board of Supervisors, Madera County’s Sheriff’s Office, PG&E, USFS, CA Fish & Wildlife, Sierra Ambulance, Bass Lake Chamber of Commerce and Bass Lake Lions to answer member questions.

We will continue to have volunteer staff in the office three days a week to answer your questions and address your concerns.

    To join the Bass Lake Homeowners Association:

    1) You can mail in the membership form along with a check (printable membership form can be found below) or

    1. Annual Membership Dues $125.00

    Annual Dues paid for one (1) property or lot, $25.00 for any additional home or lot, includes discounts to local vendors, free entrance to Memorial Day BBQ for you and another household member, and quarterly newsletters.

     

    2. Diamond Family Sponsor $250.00

    Annual sponsorship for one (1) property includes membership benefits PLUS 4 additional tickets to the BBQ, name recognition in our newsletter, and Diamond Family recognition for your membership house plaque.
